As agents of SecureKey Africa, we provide Thales hardware security modules as a managed service — the same tamper-resistant cryptographic hardware that underpins card payments worldwide, available without buying, racking and certifying your own estate.
You get PIN generation and translation, key generation, storage and rotation, and card cryptogram verification, delivered against an SLA and operated by engineers who do this every day.
What you get
Thales payment-grade hardware
Tamper-resistant HSMs purpose-built for payment cryptography, not repurposed general-purpose servers.
Full key lifecycle management
Key ceremonies, custody, rotation and destruction handled under documented dual-control procedures.
PIN and cryptogram operations
PIN block translation, PIN verification, CVV/ARQC generation and validation available over a secure host interface.
Operating cost, not capital cost
Consume HSM capacity as a service so a small issuer can meet the same cryptographic standards as a large bank.
TRUSTED BY BUSINESSES ACROSS INDUSTRIES

Frequently asked questions
What is an HSM used for in payments?
A hardware security module protects the cryptographic keys behind card payments — generating and translating PIN blocks, verifying card cryptograms, and storing issuer keys in tamper-resistant hardware that never exposes them in the clear.
Do I need my own HSM if I use your service?
No. The point of HSM as a service is that you consume the cryptographic operations you need over a secure interface while we operate, secure and maintain the hardware.
